Data stored correctly

Like businesses, no two databases are identical.

Every web business needs to store data and sometimes that could be in the cloud with something called Elastic Search (aids quick searching) or a complex data structure storing CRM and business data. You then have to decide how that data is to be stored and more importantly how it is to be retrieved. These are important questions that need to be finalised before a database can be created.

We have seen multiple web businesses that fall over because the data becomes so massive that the structure can't cope. For most smaller businesses this isn't something to worry about but a successful web business can generate a lot of storage and therefore will require larger resources to manage and retrieve the data.

The counters below show a typical good and bad response time to a simple query. The issue here is that if you have multiple customers executing a slow query at the same time, your entire system will eventually grind to a halt. Pages will miss data and errors will start collating which are poor user experiences.
